Preorder status information

We can't give an exact timeframe for the time between preordering and shipment. Our goal is to get preorders shipped out approximately 3-4 weeks from the time of order.

Once your preorder is made and ready to ship, you'll receive an email with shipping & tracking infromation.

This page lists the current status of each preorder batch. This page is updated daily as we make the batch.  Please note that these are just good-faith estimates and that unexpected events may occur — we will update this page daily with details.

We make the kits in big batches and then ship them all at once.  Our goal is to work through all of the preorders and start stocking regular inventory.

Preorder batch #1:

This was preorders through Jan 30th, 2023, 1:22PM PST.

Completed. Shipped Feb 19th, 2023.

Preorder batch #2:

This is preorders placed between Jan 30th, 2023, 1:22PM PST and Feb 26th, 2023.  Completed. Began shipping March 13th, finished shipping March 18th.

Delay of ~1 week occurred due to a death in the family.  Regular production has resumed as of March 6th.

Batch production complete.  Batch fully shipped.

Preorder batch #3:

This is preorders from Feb 26th, 2023 until March 16th, 2023.  Batch complete, fully shipped.

Preorder batch #4:

Preorders from March 16th, 2023 until April 14th, 2023. Various parts complete but not all.  Some kits shipped on the week of April 10th, but the rest will need parts that will be made over the following week.

This batch is now being packaged and shipped out. Packaging and shipping started on Tuesday April 18th and is expected to continue through Saturday April 22st.

Update: most of these have shipped. The remainder expected to ship Wed-Thurs 26-27th.

Preorder batch #5:

Preorders on April 15th until April 15th at 8:35PM PDT: this batch has been completed and is 90% shipped out. More are shipping out on Saturday May 20th & Monday May 22nd (the remainder).

Preorder batch #6:

Preorders from April 15th at 8:35PM PDT onward: this batch is mostly complete and some kits have started shipping.  We expect this batch to be completed incrementally and ship out over the next 2 weeks.  Preorders in this batch should expect to get a shipment notification before Saturday May 27th.

This batch is now complete. The tail end of kits in the batch are shipping out on 6-16.
